the FARM, a B&B

Best Friends

Lucy and Ethel engage in a “loving” embrace.  The girls are the official greeters at the FARM.

When at the FARM, the sun quietly rises as the day begins, you will learn to appreciate this pleasure with a hot cup of coffee or tea and hearty breakfast.  Maybe you would like us to prepare a picnic basket for lunch.  We will be happy to discuss your plans for the day and also, make contacts for these activities.

The FARM has been in my family now for three generations.  The house is a hundred forty three years old, with modern day conveniences.  We are happy to share with you and your family the joy it has brought my family and me through out the years.

We maintain five comfortable bedrooms with common baths, so you, too, can experience the simple life on the FARM.  As the seasons unfold, there are new things to do and experience.  Spring is when the kitchen garden is planted (of course you can help) and the animal families welcome their new born (a window into mother nature’s special moment).  Summer is marked by the ceremonial “Pow-Wow” held on the 4th of July weekend.  After berry picking, participate in a canning session (jams and jellies make great gifts).  Evenings provide time for fishing on the numerous lakes, hopefully with bountiful catches.  We would be happy to prepare a nice meal for you and your family.  Fall is the start of the hunting season accompanied by glorious fall colors.  Winter, what do we say...snow, snow and more snow.
